The Sunrise Before the War at Iwo Jima

It was the morning of March 26, 1945 and all was quiet. As Jason and his comrades are going to their position and they shot an enemy walking down the path. “Get down” Jason says to his comrades. He throws a grenade at the man, and then the explosion kills the man. A group of men come down the path to their position and find them in the bushes. “There they are” they shout and start shooting at them. Jason was the only one that got the courage to go back and face them, but once he got back to where he was, but they had already left.
Then he sees some movement up ahead. There was the group that had found him, but they had brought some more men with them. Jason went back to camp and told his comrades Cody, Jaris, Luke, and Kyle what he had seen. Jason and his comrades went back to where he was standing when he saw them, but they were gone once again. “There they are” Cody whispered, “Hiding in the bushes.” “Ready, Aim, Fire, whispered Luke. They shot into the bushes and the men in the bushes were never seen again.
“We are not out of the woods yet.” Jaris shouted. He could just make out the outlines of a line of troops. “Get into your positions.” Jason shouted. They got into their positions ready to fight, but all of the enemies fell to the ground. “What?” said all of them. Then they all looked up and saw two of their helicopters fly over head. When they got back to camp Jason and his comrades found their camp a mess.
“Hold on” commanded Jason. Jason went into the camp to see if one of his best friends was ok. In his thoughts he was saying “what a bad decision I just made.” “What if someone comes out from hiding and shoots me.” “But my commander always said never leave a man behind. ”his best friend was the only one left at the camp.
